Local Businesses Collaborate with Hitmusiclink to create Independent Music Festival

Local businesses and Hitusiclink.com, collaborate to provide a weekend of Live Music and Independent Films in Downtown Clifton,TX. September 23-25, 2011. This is an all-genre event, consisting of independent, unsigned bands.

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 24, 2011 – The Music Festival begins Friday night, September 23rd and lasts through Sunday, September 25th, 2011

It will take place on “Main Street” in the Downtown Historic Art District in Clifton,TX
also known as : Avenue D

Friday Night Launch Party  (Start time: 7pm)
4 Venues, 8 Bands

Saturday morning, the City of Clifton will shut the streets down and prepare for a day of live music and entertainment.

7 AM – Vendors and Sponsors load-in and setup
12PM – Venues open to allow bands to setup for first round of performances.
3PM – Blast-Off – First series of bands start

*** LIVE STREAMING video from the V.I.P. Room at LA Thompson Art Gallery.  This is the ultimate spot to cool off, have a few drinks and enjoy the Artist life.  We will interview your band LIVE on Ustream.com, and will record any impromptu-acoustic performances.

During the day on Saturday, we will conduct a Band Boot Camp, with Special Guest, Mark Wolfson, of Reel Entertainment.  These clinics will include the “Production Corner”, expert insight regarding Industry quality production and set-up.  The “Song Circle,” giving bands the opportunity to have their music listened to and critiqued. The final segment, “Individual Reviews,” is an opportunity for bands to present their entire package for review.

On Saturday, between 11 am – 5pm, we will showcase independent film projects, short films and feature films from film makers across the country.  Each film maker will introduce himself and talk about their project before showcasing it to the public.  Afterward, fans can meet the film makers in a “meet and greet” in the loby.

Independent Music and Film fans…this is where you need to be in September.  Clear your calendars and get to Clifton!

In One Accord

In One Accord is a metalcore group of five very passionate men from San Angelo, Texas. The influences of hardcore to today’s metalcore shines brightly through the musical structure and heartfelt lyrics and definitely pushes through to their live performances. Ask any of the band members and they will tell you that this passion and talent is all rooted in their love for Jesus Christ.

Every word sung, note played, show performed is an action striving to give God glory by shining the radiant love of Christ to all people. “Our hope is that people would leave our set knowing that there is Hope and Love, and that it is readily available for them,” says Pierce Love, lead vocalist.

GypsyHead

GypsyHead are a band of guys from central/east Texas that refuse to conform to the norm, blending blues and classic rock with a hint of outlaw country. David Parker on lead vocals and guitar, Mark Cammack on drums/vocals, Greg Hall on vocals and lead guitar, and Allan McConnell on bass and vocals.

These guys are here to have fun with what they love, and want everyone to enjoy the ride with them. They are recording their first CD of original songs in September 2011. GypsyHead….Gypsy~0n!!!!

iMi

iMi, the high-energy, Texas-born-and-bred, alternative rock band, will grab your attention with their all-original mix of hard-driving rock and acoustic melodies.

iMi has been inducted into the Curtain Club’s “Hall of Fame” in Dallas, receiving special recognition for their sell-out shows and amazing talent.  Presented with a plaque honoring them for being one of the top-drawing bands, their autographed portrait is on display with some of Texas’ greatest recording artists such as Pantera, Bowling for Soup, Drowning Pool, Pat Green, and The Toadies.

This crowd-pleasing band is no stranger to playing with national acts.  Taking first place in a battle of the bands, iMi was granted the opportunity to open for The All-American Rejects.  Other national acts iMi has played with are Puddle of Mudd, Eve 6, Candle Box, Saliva, Faktion, Deaf Pedestrians, Edgewater, to name a few.

Beautiful Disturbance

Beautiful Disturbance is an “in your face” musical experience that has to be encountered in person. The live explosion draws you in as the lyrics penetrate your soul. Heavily influenced by Hard and Heavy Rock, they continually dive deeper into new auditory territory. This 4 piece band from Waco, Texas was officially formed in March of 2010 with a simple mission…to rock your soul and change your life! The band bleeds passion, one which you realize when you experience them live and meet them in person. The approach towards music and life with this band is to give everything and hold nothing back. There is no “plan B.”
